Welcome to Nivea's Cauldron! While not my actual legal name I do operate and practice under the name Nivea for privacy and safety reasons. I am currently living in Cheyenne Wyoming and operate the business on my own out of an office set up in my home.
I come from a family that is naturally empathic and was raised with an appreciation for all things witchy, spooky, supernatural, and paranormal. It wasn't until I went to college that I actually started my journey into witchcraft and spirituality. I have many health problems and it took a very long time to identify the issues let alone find anything that worked to help ease some of my suffering from some of the symptoms.
On a desperate whim, I decided to try out "crystal therapy" since I had always had a deep fascination with rocks and had a large collection myself. I was shocked and relieved to discover how each stone I owned had a specific purpose and now gave a good reason to my mother for how much money had been spent on the collection over the years. From there I began learning and expanding more as I finally embraced the path I had always craved but never understood or felt comfortable enough for full immersion.
While at college i had the unfortunate displeasure of dating a guy who was so "traditionally" "christian" and loved to impose that upon others. This guy also refused to even "entertain" let alone respect or even hear anything that didn't fit his beliefs. Many of my boundaries were pushed, crossed and just generally disrespected during this time that I finally stepped back and reevaluated everything I ever thought, felt, and believed. This allowed me to make many important self realizations as well as solidifying all of my beliefs and boundaries. This was when I finally made the switch away from following christian practices and instead made the switch to paganism.
With more time I eventually also discovered the benefits of a more traditional and holistic approach to medicine and health in general. I learned that path is what seems to work best for me and committed to learning as much as possible so that I may be able to better help myself; and perhaps, if fate allows, possibly be able to spread that knowledge and help others as well.
Nowadays I focus on learning and following the traditions of the past, especially those that help me to honor my personal ancestry or allow me to better treat my own medical ailments.
